A Classic Non Alcoholic Americano

Non Alcoholic Americano with Lyre's Spirits Co Italian Orange Campari Style spirit

Easy cocktails are the name of the game when it comes to rethinking drinking, and choosing a non alcoholic drink to elevate your night. While the Negroni remains a true classic, it’s elegant step-sister the Americano is an oft-overlooked drink. The gin in a Negroni is replaced with seltzer or soda water for a lighter aperitif-based drink.

Lyre’s makes a great Italian Orange Style aperitif that mimics the bitter orange of Campari. They also make a very elegant Aperitif Rosso which is a sweet vermouth style of drink that is on constant rotation here. These two non alcoholic aperitif style spirits blend together seamlessly with soda water for a refreshing zero proof cocktail that is extremely easy to make and to drink.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Lyre’s Spirits Co Italian Orange
2 oz Lyre’s Spirits Co Aperitif Rosso (keep this in the fridge once opened)
2 oz SodaStream soda water (or any club soda)
Dried orange for garnish

PREPARATION

Add ice to half of a large scotch glass or even a highball glass. Layer in the Lyre’s products and then using a bar spoon, stir gently around the edge of the glass to blend. Top with soda water and enjoy!
