Greyhound Cocktail with Non Alcoholic Gin
/You’ve definitely heard about or even drank a Greyhound cocktail without even knowing it, since it’s basically just gin and juice. Grapefruit juice to be exact! It’s an extremely easy drink to make non alcoholic since the ingredients are accessible and easy to find.
The Greyhound originated in London in the early 1920s, but was officially dubbed the the Greyhound in the mid-1900s with the advent of bus terminal dining, specifically at Greyhound stations.
You may have seen the Greyhound cocktail made with vodka more often than gin, but that is a modern contrivance. The original recipe was made with gin because vodka didn’t gain popularity in North America until after World War 2. Lucky for us, since non alcoholic vodka really has a long way to go!
Tanqueray 0.0 non alcoholic gin is slightly on the sweeter side than other non alcoholic gins, and missing a bit of heat, but it’s the perfect non alcoholic option for a gin and juice like this! Limited availability in the U.S. and Canada but readily available in the U.K.
