Brunch Mimosarita: A Non-Alcoholic Mashup
/Mimosa or margarita? You don’t need to choose!
What is a mimosarita?
There’s nothing like a bubbly mimosa but there’s also nothing like a salty sweet margarita. If you had to choose for your next brunch date, what would you pick? We can’t decide either, so that’s why we love the idea of this non-alcoholic Mimosarita - a mimosa AND margarita combined together. The salty tart lime is literally a perfect match with orange juice and non-alcoholic sparkling wine. This is also one of those drinks you can make either low- or no-alcohol by swapping one or both of the tequila and sparkling wine for a non-alcoholic version. Choose your own adventure! It’s also super easy to pull together, so what are you waiting for? This is a no-brainer for enjoying a Dry January weekend brunch!
Which non-alcoholic tequila is the best?
There are so many options for non-alcoholic tequila these days. It’s worth reading our list here of our top picks and why we like them. It depends on where you live, but there are a few front runners whether you’re in the U.S. or Canada. ISH Mexican Agave Spirit is a pretty great option, as is Drink Monday mezcal. Both are smoky, and have a bite just like real tequila. In Canada only, HP Agave will blow you away with it’s quality and craftsmanship and how close it is to the real thing.
Which non-alcoholic sparkling wines are best for a Mimosa Margarita?
If you’re going to be a purist, you’re going to want to try a non-alcoholic Prosecco. Oddbird Prosecco is one of the best ones out there, and is much loved by the non-alcoholic drinks community. For a more accessible option, you could grab a bottle of St. Regis Secco - it's not as dry as a prosecco usually is and quite sweet, but it’s accessible and affordable.
