Easy Spicy Margarita Mocktail With A Spicy Sparkling Water

Barbet Easy Spicy Margarita Mocktail

I’m on strike against complicated non-alcoholic cocktails. January was hard enough! I’m sharing is a really great hack I use to make it easy to whip up a drink that tastes grown-up. It’s also cold here, so I was craving something spicy and warming that will boost my mood!

This Spicy Margarita Mocktail uses Barbet, which is a ‘bubbled in Canada’ sparkling water with adult flavours that remind you of cocktails (but without the alcohol!). They’re so great on their own as a non-alcoholic option or as a way to easily elevate your non-alcoholic cocktail recipe.

This zero proof spicy marg uses blood orange and non-alcoholic tequila to complement the calamansi and jalapeño in my favourite Barbet flavour called Wild Card. It’s packed with flavour and has a kick, perfect for a cold winter Friday night pick-me-up!

Ingredients

1 whole small blood orange
Pinch of salt
4 oz non-alcoholic tequila (preferably HP Agave or ISH Mexican Agave Spirit)
1 can Barbet Wild Card
Jalapeno for garnish

Cut the orange into small pieces, with skin, and muddle in a cocktail shaker or mason jar. Add salt, ice and non-alcoholic tequila and shake to chill. Strain into a margarita glass, add ice and top with Barbet. Garnish with the jalapeño!

You can pick-up Barbet at Healthy Planet, on well.ca or other health food stores - they also ship across Canada direct from their website

Cheers!
